Artists, Activists Rally Against Child Deportation
November 1st, hundreds of Activists rallied against the intended deportation of migrant workers from Israel along with their children, most of whom were born in the country. They also protested the statement by Minister of The Interior Eli Yishay (of Shas), who was quoted saying: “They will spread Hepatitis, Tuberculosis and Aids”. The rally, which took place at Tel Aviv venue The Block, featured several Knesset members, as well as social activists and artists Tomer Yosef, Kwami, Useless I.D, Kottage and me.
3 Hour Israeli Hip Hop Podcast Extravaganza
Black Sheep is a Hip Hop programme broadcasted weekly on Tel Aviv’s much beloved 106FM “Voice Of The Campus” station. When the show returned from hiatus, they called up a who’s who list of Israeli MC’s and let them burn mics for a 3 hour rhyme extravaganza. Current singles, special remixes, cypherlistic freestyles and exclusives were also on deck. Among the perpetrators were: Shas, Kashi, Sagol 59, Lukatch, Tachles, 51% and many more.
