Claire Burson - Baby Boy / (DOWNLOAD)
On Thursday, February 26th, Six Points Fellow and critically acclaimed indie songstress, Clare Burson, will debut her most ambitious project yet – a song cycle, multi-media performance, and songbook which imagine her grandmother’s life in Germany, from before her birth in 1919 to her escape in 1938. Audience members at the Joe’s Pub debut of SILVER AND ASH will receive free 3-song samplers of the new album as well as a songbook, which provides readers with a glimpse into Burson’s creative process, presenting the song lyrics accompanied by the stories that inspired them.
The event will feature the songs from Burson’s upcoming release, SILVER AND ASH, as performed by Clare and her band, featuring Adam Levy on guitar (Norah Jones, Jenny Scheinman, Tracy Chapman), Tony Leone on drums (Ollabelle, Levon Helm, Rickie Lee Jones), and Andy Cotton on bass. It promises to be a soulful and rockin’ good time, come check it out!
