- TOMORROW in NYC The Sway Machinery will be playing live at Hudson Square Music & Wine Festival. It’s FREE! 5-7 PM on Spring St. between Varick & Hudson.
- Wednesday (7/8) Alicia Jo Rabins of Girls in Trouble will be telling some wild stories at IMPOSE Mag’s Friends With Benefits at Bruar Falls in Brooklyn. She’ll be joined by comedian Dave Hill, musicians Jeffrey Lewis and Pepi Ginsburg and some other all-around coolsters.
- Friday night The Wailing Wall will be playing with electro-folks Castanets at Cake Shop in NYC. Show starts at 8PM!
- JDub favorite Hesta Prynn (formerly of Northern State) just did a G-DCast. Check it out HERE.
Cartoon Cannibals
Hey there everyone! I recently wrote and recorded the text for an episode of G-dcast, a weekly web serial that takes the Torah portion for the week and turns it into an animated short. Each week they have a different guest narrator/commentator, sometimes some really cool people. Please have a look!
Girls in Trouble does G-DCAST TOO!
Along with Deleon, Girls in Trouble (AKA Alicia Jo Rabins), also had the pleasure of writing an original song for the animated weekly Torah portion site G-DCAST.
Alicia is currently on a unique monthlong tour sponsored by the State Department. She is teaching and performing throughout Central America with Hoppin’ John String Band, an old-time band as musical ambassadors of the US.
