With a strong arm and loads of guilt

Jews live in time, moreso than in space, and our stories are just about the most important thing we have going for us.  Tomorrow night, we stare down our first of many cardboard crackers and attempt to make thousand (plus) year old texts relevant again.  Whether you do that with music, conversation, or the Cliff’s Notes version, we hope you take a minute to try it on in your own way.  Our good friend Mobius reminded us (via Twitter) of this unexpected retelling of the Plagues and Exodus from Guilt & Pleasure by the brilliantly offensive Shalom Auslander.  Its certainly not how we are told to remember the story, but it humanizes the story, central to Passover and Jewish existence itself, in a wholly unconventional way.  If you are looking for a non-traditional Seder conversation starter, start here.
