DeLeon and Girls In Trouble took over the Apache Cafe for the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival. Footage of the ruckus filmed by me, Patrick A. (Aleph) from the dark art-punk outfit Can!!Can.
Less talk, more rock. Watch these!

3 or 4 months ago a friend and I bought tickets to Of Montreal’s show at Music Hall of Williamsburg, I had never seen the band and figured it was about time I saw them live. Now that I have experienced it, I can attest that it truly is a fantastic experience, but what really blew me away last Friday night was the opener Of Montreal had chosen, Miss Janelle Monae, straight out of ATL. Besides our own artists, I have never seen a performer bring it harder than Miss Monae. Discovered by Big Boi of Outkast in Atlanta and ultimately signed by Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Janelle Monae plays what she describes as her own brand of funk, rock and soul, and chick has some pipes! Many readers have probably already heard of Janelle, but I had to share her with you, just in case, cause this girl’s gonna be HUGE. That video above is Janelle Monae performing Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” with Of Montreal to close the conert. Photo by Tim Griffin.
