DAWN 2010 Announced

dawn2010

Our friends over at Reboot & Tablet Magazine are joining forces to bring you DAWN 2010,  a massive late-night cultural arts festival celebrating the Jewish holiday Shavuot in San Francisco.  Based on the last DAWN event in 2008 and knowing that these guys don’t mess around when it comes to programming, DAWN 2010 is shaping up to be one hell of an event. DAWN 2008, among others, featured a performance by the band Dengue Fever, a conversation with Jonathan Safran Foer, an amazing short film series, and countless other speakers, performers and teachers.

DAWN is a modern take on the ancient holiday and its traditional all-night rabbinical study sessions. Using a multi-media platform to inspire learning and conversation and a late-night structure to appeal to the young adult generation, DAWN has become a major Shavuot extravaganza appealing to both the Jewish and secular San Francisco young adult community.
